Invited Architectural Museum Competition

The new art museum gives birth to a new cultural district, ANDA, as part of the Ekenäs atmosphere. The art museum adapts to the city’ s scale linked to it in a natural and open manner by offering visitors and city residents interesting features at street level, at eye level. The building contributes with connections, views and places for collaboration and meetings. The intimate museum courtyard with its new café pulsates in the heart of the neighborhood. The art museum is inspired by the surrounding valuable building heritage, craft traditions as well as ancient local natural materials, wood, stone and clay. The timeless and harmonious building is planned for art experiences, utilizes natural light and blends into its’ surroundings.
