The holiday villa is located in an island in the Finnish archipelago, about 45 min from Helsinki and 15 min from the old city of Porvoo.

The secluded garden, surrounded by forest, creates an intimate atmosphere. At the same time, the building around the courtyard protects from the strong south wind coming from the sea. Big windows guarantee a very close relation between inside and outside, and the generous exterior covered spaces can be used also during rainy days.

The house is built with massive CLT wooden walls and slabs, without insulation in the walls. The ventilation is natural, by gravity, and the bottom slab is detached from the ground permitting the ventilation of the foundations and an healthy structure. The bearing roof structure is left visible.
